I use ROI in my programs heavily. So, is it possible to build one ROI with a set a parameters and then keep changing the SAME ROI with different parameters for a different purpose?

where can I get a PCI-1424 frame grabber
Dear,
I recently bought a imager sensor that would require PCI-1424 frame grabber to build up a camera. However I found that NI doesn't sell PCI-1424 anymore. Does anyone know where I can still get a PCI-1424? Or if not, which type of frame grabber can be a replacement of PCI-1424.
The board I have now has a 100-pin connector that is said to be directly interface with PCI-1424.

Morphology black picture out
Hello,
i am facing a curius problem with the output image from morphology. In vision assistant i see clear the result. Now i receive always black picture.
Tipp; after the Cast Image the picture is correct.
What i missed? Could somebody helps?

Acquire two images from one snap: gige camera teledyne
Hi,
I'm try to show and save two images from one camera that snaps two different pictures with one trigger, I'm using LV 17. The camera is set to a multi-frame mode so when i trigger the camera it snap a first picture with one setting and then cycle to a second state with different parameters so snap the second picture. How can i configure this in LV ? Is there a VI that can handle this? Or is there a way to save to different configuration using MAX ?

IC-312x Windows vs. Linux RT
We know that the CVS-1458RT is the same hardware as the IC-3120.
However, the CVS-1458 (Windows version) shows 32 GB of storage while the Windows version of the IC-3120 shows the same storage size as the Linux RT version (2 GB). Is that correct?
The difference in cost between the IC-3120 Linux RT and Windows version suggest that there is some more hardware capability on the Windows version, and the additional 30 GB could almost explain that.

Tracking a 2D floor reference image on a mobile robot using an IP camera and returning the relative coordinates
Hi all,
I am in the process of making a vision system for a mobile robot that would detect a "goal square" on the ground and localise the robot to assist in it entering the square. The camera would be fixed and so the robot would just retain any final coordinates before the object is obscured.
I have been using the Vision Assistant for other applications like tracking a coloured cube's pixel coordinates but can't find an example to do this second task.
below is the raw square image i wish to detect from any approach angle, i have multiple of these but I'm only posting one as an environment example. I can isolate the tape from the background easily but I just need help with tracking it while it's on screen.

imaqdx unsigned driver on Windows 10
Hi,
i'm trying to use a USB3 cam with IMAQdx on a pc running Windows 10. Once installed it works very well (good frame rate, configuration simple compared to GigE, etc...). But i have a big issue with Windows 10 rejecting the NI driver, because it is unsigned !
I manage to have a one shot installation using the workaround found at https://en.code-bude.net/2015/08/19/how-to-install-unsigned-drivers-in-windows-10/
But after each reboot, Windows 10 refuse the driver again :-(
So i have 2 questions :
1 - Is there a definitive workaround to stop Windows 10 refusing unsigned drivers ?
2 - (the most important IMHO) why IMAQdx drivers aren't Windows 10 certified ?

Zoom to fit
Hi All,
I have created a 2D array of image indicator on the front panel.
When I run the program, images are visible on each array element.
However, I am unable to "zoom to fit" the image during run time.
Any suggestions on how it can be "zoomed to fit"?
Also at times, the right click options on the image indicator inside the array also disappear.
Why does this happen?Does it have anything to do with the GPU of my computer?

I want to detect the presence of different cms components of length 2mm and width 1.2mm in an electronic card length 23cm and width 13cm.
I tried with a webcam Logitech HD pro c920 it gave me a clear picture well detailed by bringing closer the webcam but it necessitates a 3 captures to cover the whole image since the focal length of this camera is important.
I want to do this inspection with a single snapshot using a better camera usb3 BASLER presented in the national instrument site below, that will not exceed $ 700. is it possible? And what are the camera characteristics that I have to take into account ?

Triggering a gigE Dalsa linea linescan camera
I'm currently attempting and failing miserably to trigger a Dalsa linescan camera (8K linea gigE) with an encoder pulse from an animatics smart motor. In NI Max there appears to be an option to configure the camera with an external trigger. However, the camera does not appear to be being triggered at the correct rate. I've tried various combinations of multipliers, dividers, trigger sources and the result is always the same - it seems like the camera exposure time is being used to determine the timing rather than the trigger pulses. I'm going to try dividing the trigger pulses in software using a DAQ PCIe card, but in the meantime if anyone can shed any light on the problem I'd be most grateful.

Basler Firewire camera leads to NI MAX crash
Hello everyone,
I have a Basler A622f firewire camera here and problems with using it with NI software. The camera itself is recognized by Windows 7 (64 bit, Enterprise) and works well with the Basler Pylon Viewer. I did a fresh install of LV 2017 with the vision packages. NI MAX shows the camera in the device list, but as soon as I click on it (doesn't matter if left or right mouse button) NI MAX doesn't react anymore and the mouse cursor changes to the animated waiting-circle. If I click elsewhere into the window, the window whites out and nothing happens anymore. All I can do is to kill the task.
Has anybody an idea, what to do?

IMAQdx Error 0xBFF69011 (unable to get attribute) in NI MAX for USB camera
Estoy tratando de adquirir imágenes de una cámara JAI CV-M50 conectada a un conversor USB GEMBIRD. El dispositivo me aparece en el MAX y en el Vision Assistant, pero cuando la voy a conectar me muestra el mensaje: "IMAQdx Error 0xBFF69011 (unable to get attribute) in NI MAX for USB camera". A través de software de GEMBIRD sí que veo las imágenes capturadas por la cámara.
He leido otros hilos acerca de este problema, he ejecutado el cameravalidator y he borrado el archivo de configuración de la cámara, pero no he conseguido nada. El compatibility report no me muestra ningún error.
Veo que el problema es similar al que han tenido otros compañeros, pero no consigo solucionarlo.

I'm tryng to acquire images from a JAI CV-M50 camera conected ta an USB converter GEMBIRD. Device appears in NI MAX and Vision Assistant, but when I try to connect, MAX shows the next message: "IMAQdx Error 0xBFF69011 (unable to get attribute) in NI MAX for USB camera". i can see the images from the manera with GEMBIRD software.
I've read in other posts about this problem, I've executed cameravalidator.exe and I deleted file configuration camera, but I have the same result. I don't see any error in compatibility report
I know that problem is similar to other collegues but i can't fix it.

Compact Vision vs Industrial Controller
Hi,
I am looking to specify a vision system for a customer and have been having a little difficulty with the naming/description of some of the hardware.
My main problem is the difference between the "Compact Vision System" and the "Industrial Controller", or to be more precise, is there a difference?
From this post it is clear that they are more or less the same hardware, just without the VBAI software included. However it is not clear if the Industrial Controller remains compatible with all the camera standards, such as USB3, GigE, etc. Maybe a better question would be "what does the VBAI software add that makes one a CVS and the other a generic Industrial Controller?"
Can I use the Vision Development Module on both devices? Also on the RT Versions?
Also, is it safe to assume that the Industrial controller can be the "host" to other NI USB devices such as AI/AO type hardware? Can the CVS also do this?

Selected list NI Vision Builder
Hello,
I would like to do selected list in NI Vision Builder to choosing inspections in Vision System. Now, it works automatically, it chooses inspections by barcode and run program, but the program doesn't work correctly now. I want to choose inspections manually.
Program works in this way:
1. The main program scans barcode and other things by picture made by camera.
2. When the thing is changed, program turn on another program which is between the main program and the next program. It looking for barcode and turn on automatically the right program to inspect.
It worked well by couple years and now I have problem, beacuse I have to repair it. Are any tutorials or maybe somebody know how to do this? I do not have much experience with this program. I found function called "Select Inspection", but it works by choosing inspection automatically now and I don't know how to change it for manually select from selected list when the barcode is changed. Someone told me that to use LabView. I have got also file wrote in LabView which shows only actually barcode and function in NI Vision uses it. I enclosed screenshot of this file. Maybe in this function I can do this.

IMAQ Mikrotron EoSens MC1360 multiple-ROI acquisition at high speeds
I'm trying to make a minimal VI that configures a Mikrotron camera (MC1360 EoSens) to use four regions of interest (hardware) and show these on screen.
I'm using the following list of commands, which are all successfully sent to the camera and receive output (serial write/read):

Afterwards, I was at a loss because the manual doesn't explain beyond sending these commands. Based on a number of older files from a colleague, I'm using Configure List, Imaq start, Imaq Status to check if acquiring, then finally Imaq Extract Buffer (see attached). This does not seem to be working; while I do get an image it looks like all four images are the same. I've also tried (in the i-th loop iteration) if i%4==0, then look at buffer i, i-1, i-2, i-3. From what I could determine, that gave me four images that are exactly equal.
How to proceed?
